The day

I found myself busy this morning helping Bonnie and Isaac get ready to leave for Penticton. Lots of little things to get ready and pack up. They ended up leaving just before noon and were going to pick up lunch along the way. After doing some work on the next issue of the community newsletter I'm working on my new computer for the office arrived and so the rest of my day was spent downloading, installing and configuring things. It was satisfying to get things to a point where I can work again, but tiring nonetheless.

Bonnie called around 8, and said they made it to a provincial park in Lac La Hache. It turned out Isaac was pretty hyped the last hour or so of driving, saying "let's stop here, let's camp here." They had brought out tent along and so he was quite excited to sleep outside. Hopefully Bonnie can sleep as well!

A fun afternoon

This afternoon I had the opportunity to do another family portrait session. My sister-in-law's mom, dad, grandma, brother (and fiancee), and sister (with husband and son) were all up for a visit. And so with my brother's family there were 15 in total that I had the pleasure of photographing. Bonnie was at work and so Isaac came along for the ride.

We got to the place where the session was going to be about an hour early (since I'd only been there once 3 years ago) to scout the location, and so Isaac and I had some time to play before everyone got there.

Here's some of the fun that Isaac had.

Then the whole crew arrived. This is one of the first group images I made. We ended up shooting for about an hour or so.

After which we visited for a while until the caterers came. The whole group plus a few other friends who came later were all staying for a meal. So Isaac had some fun playing croquet until the two of us came home for our own dinner.

We got home and had our meal and then Isaac watched Ice Age 2 followed by a much needed bath!

I spent the rest of the evening preparing for a busy day tomorrow. Bonnie and Isaac and I are going to my parents for breakfast after which I'm dropping Isaac off at my brother's place for a couple hours. Bonnie will come back to town with my mom, and I'm off to Houston for a meeting with the manager of the Houston Chamber of Commerce to discuss membership and the possibility of me doing some design work for them. Then I come back and have lunch with Isaac and and his cousins. Then I'll show my sister-in-law's parents the images from today and take their orders, and then Isaac and I will come home. Bonnie has to work tomorrow afternoon, and so with she and Isaac leaving on Thursday for Penticton, I imagine there'll be lots to do to get ready.

So all in all it was a good day today and lots to look forward to tomorrow.
